I’m a sucker for a good quote! So much so that I begin all of my books with a quote. Here are a few that have stuck with me over the years…
‘You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist.’ – Indira Gandhi
‘Change happens by listening and then starting a dialogue with the people who are doing something you don’t believe is right.’ – Jane Goodall,
‘If you’re always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.’ – Maya Angelou
‘The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.’ – Neil Gaiman
‘We were the people who were not in the papers. We lived in the blank white spaces at the edges of print. It gave us more freedom. We lived in the gaps between the stories.’ – Margaret Atwood
‘Don’t ever make decisions based on fear. Make decisions based on hope and possibility. Make decisions based on what should happen, not what shouldn’t.’ – Michelle Obama
There’s loads more, but I think that’s enough for now!
